Studio render
Studio render: the same model the game draws, 1,132 triangles, lit like a product shot in Blender’s Cycles renderer.
Watch it appear in Blender
A short video of the model being drawn in Blender, one part at a time, from one fixed camera so versions line up. It shows the version you picked under “Spin it”. Play the recording below and it follows along.
Version 2
Made by running this version’s own script again in Blender. Parts appear in the order the script made them, one face at a time. The colors come on at the end. Nothing is written on the video.
Watch it being made
A recording of the agent at work: the request, the plan, the script being written, the renders, the review, the fixes and the export. Speed it up or drag the bar to jump around.

Version 3 newest
20-liter steel jerry can (v3)
What changed from v2, and why: Finish the can properly (a clarity test against professional assets): build a high-detail source with beveled edges, a pressed seam with spot welds and physically based materials (painted steel with edge wear down to bare metal, scratches, dust and grime, black plastic cap, rubber gasket, steel clamp and lever); then make a light game model from the same shapes and BAKE the detail into three 1024 px textures: base color, an occlusion-roughness-metal map (glTF ORM) and a tangent-space normal map.
20-liter steel jerry can, finished: same shapes, color and proportions as v2, now with a 40,036-triangle high-detail source (every edge beveled, a pressed seam with spot welds, a fluted cap, rubber gasket and steel clamp) baked into a 1,132-triangle game model with three 1024 px maps (base color, occlusion-roughness-metal, normal). Painted steel with edge wear down to bare metal, scratches, dust and grime. 524 KB GLB, one material, one draw call. All textures are procedural, nothing downloaded. v2 vs v3 stills are in v3/compare/.
Model: 1132 triangles, 1 material, 524 KB GLB, 0.35 x 0.49 x 0.17 m (width x height x depth).

Version 2
20-liter steel jerry can (v2)
What changed from v1, and why: Chamfer the edges of the X ribs (and make them a little wider) so they look pressed, not nailed on; lay the cam lever flat across the cap by computing the cap's tilt; add a base flange under the spout; chamfer the handle bar and posts; deepen the red slightly.
20-liter steel jerry can, 34.5 x 16.5 cm footprint, 0.47 m tall: red painted body with rolling hoops, the pressed X inside a border on both big faces, a triple handle (grab bar on four posts) and a tilted spout with a black screw cap and cam lever. 996 triangles, 34 KB. Two versions: v1 looked like a crate lid (sharp boxy ribs) and had the lever pointing the wrong way; v2 chamfered the ribs, laid the lever flat and added the spout flange. BODY_COLOR=#5B6038 makes it olive drab.
Model: 996 triangles, 3 materials, 34 KB GLB, 0.35 x 0.49 x 0.17 m (width x height x depth).
