Forest Service steel campfire ring
campv4Pack: Camp and Roaddispersed3dcampfire
The request A US Forest Service style steel campfire ring: a short steel cylinder about 0.9 m across and 0.25 m tall, with a hinged cooking grate on one side, weathered dark steel with rust tones. Low poly for a phone browser game, under 1,500 triangles.
In the game Dispersed 3D: sits at the center of every dispersed campsite as the fire ring the player builds a fire in
Built by a script an AI agent wrote in Blender, and checked against its renders before it went up. You can watch it being made, from a recording.

Studio render
Studio render: the same model the game draws, 986 triangles, lit like a product shot in Blender’s Cycles renderer.
Watch it appear in Blender
A short video of the model being drawn in Blender, one part at a time, from one fixed camera so versions line up. It shows the version you picked under “Spin it”. Play the recording below and it follows along.
Version 3
Made by running this version’s own script again in Blender. Parts appear in the order the script made them, one face at a time. The colors come on at the end. Nothing is written on the video.
Watch it being made
A recording of the agent at work: the request, the plan, the script being written, the renders, the review, the fixes and the export. Speed it up or drag the bar to jump around.

Version 4 newest
Forest Service steel campfire ring (v4)
What changed from v3, and why: v4: rebuild as a light game model (about 1,000 triangles, one material) with base color, ORM and normal maps in one 1024 x 1024 atlas, baked from a 24,000-triangle high-detail source: true round rolled-steel wall with a welded seam, heat-scorched rim, soot inside and spilling over the rim, rust low and in streaks, grey ash caked inside, lumpy ash bed with charcoal. Same size and layout as v3 (0.90 m x 0.25 m, hinged grate swung 22 degrees). Grate and hinge stay real bars, painted as plain atlas patches.
v4: same ring as v3 rebuilt as a 986-triangle one-material game model with base color, ORM and normal maps in a 1024 x 1024 atlas (JPEG, tangents), baked from a 24,500-triangle high-detail source. 311 KB.
Model: 986 triangles, 1 material, 311 KB GLB, 0.92 x 0.31 x 0.92 m (width x height x depth).

Version 3
Forest Service steel campfire ring (v3)
What changed from v2, and why: Make dark steel the main color: push the rust to the bottom third and to long streaks, with a little rust on the rim; make the inside soot black; use 48 sides instead of 36 so the outline is round; shrink the roughness/metal map to half size to cut the file size.
Forest Service style steel fire ring: 0.90 m across, 0.25 m tall, 48-sided wall with a rolled bead, weathered dark steel with rust at the bottom, sooty inside, a hinged cooking grate swung partway off, and a thin ash bed. 1,226 triangles, 168 KB. Three versions: v1 came out black because of a color-space bug in my texture code, v2 fixed that but was far too rusty, v3 balanced it. SWING_DEG, HINGE_DEG and ASH are build parameters.
Model: 1226 triangles, 4 materials, 168 KB GLB, 0.92 x 0.31 x 0.92 m (width x height x depth).
